The Do's and Dont's for Maintaining the Life of Your Framed Art......

Do's - Request conservation framing for artwork that is valuable, sentimental or irreplaceable.

Hang artwork in areas that offer protection from the damaging effects of light, heat & moisture.

Clean the surface regularly with proper cleaner (acrylic/plexiglass require a special cleaner).

Check your artwork occasionally for signs of deterioration, spotting or yellowing caused by exposure to light, humidity and temperature.

Dont's - Hang artwork on outside walls, over workable fireplaces, in bathrooms or in direct sunlight.

Spray cleaners directly onto the surface. Spray cleaners on a soft cloth first to avoid damaging the frame, mat and artwork.
